This is Nick Martin’s latest venture, a hand-painted collage, created during the first lockdown 2020, which is now available as a limited edition signed print From Framers Picture Framing & Gallery , in Union Street, Ryde.
It pays tribute to early 20th century railway posters, encouraging everyone to visit local places and to appreciate local holiday destinations.
“I wanted to make an idealised fantasy image of the view from Ryde across the busy Solent to Portsmouth, not actually possible with a photograph. It has been a very positive experience to concentrate on this project during these difficult times and only possible because of lockdown. It’s the longest i have ever spent on one painting.”
Your purchase via Framers, Ryde , will be a mounted print , and can be framed to order. You will receive a named certificate containing the number of your print. At a later date we will send the names of all those who have subscribed to the project by email. The Giclee prints on linen paper will be ready to collect from Framers picture framing & Gallery or by post
